Over the last month, H&C Poleline had been within the community working on streetlight replacements. H&C Poleline had replaced 123 streetlights to LED lighting within the community. This project was 100% funded initiative with funding from ISC Pathways to Safe Indigenous Communities Initiative. This was proposed by Enaagdenjged in early 2023.
The Public Works Department would like to notify the community of our streetlight maintenance plan. Once weekly, a member of the Public Works Department will be touring the community in the evening when streetlights are turned on. This is to ensure that all lights are working properly and to stay on top of maintenance to our streetlights.
If you as a community member notice a light is burnt out, flickering or have any concern about a specific streetlight, attached to this communique is a form that you can fill out and submit to the Public Works Manager and we will address the issue.
