Dear M’Chigeeng Members;
CBC TV – STILL STANDING
Chief and Council are proud to officially announce that we have the incredible opportunity of being showcased in a CBC docu-comedy series called Still Standing! The host of this show is Jonny Harris who is also a comedian who travels to different communities to bring Canada wide attention to the tremendous work that communities are doing to keep themselves standing.
We have been working with CBC since March of this year to have M’Chigeeng First Nation featured as a one of a kind community with incredible history, culture, traditions and people. This is truly something to be proud of!
CBC has been in our community over the last couple of weeks visiting members and being part of different events in preparation for filming the episode featuring M’Chigeeng.
Over the course of next week, filming will be happening in and around our community.
After filming, Jonny Harris will be putting on a comedy show at the M’Chigeeng Community Complex on August 26, 2023 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
We are incredibly proud and excited to have our community highlighted and featured in this show. This demonstrates that M’Chigeeng First Nation is truly a leader amongst communities across this country.
