Happy March MFN!

I hope you all enjoyed these winter months; this hopefully, is the last of it until next season! The Public Works Department has been hard at it battling with the freeze and thaw weather we have been receiving. We are more than excited for the spring months and warmer, consistent weather!

The Public Works Department would like to introduce to you all, our new Water Delivery Driver, Leland Migwans! Leland started with us in the middle of February and has been doing an outstanding job thus far, we are more than thrilled to have Leland apart of the team.

Over this past month, we have worked long hours to ensure our roads stay in the best possible condition for our members travelling these roads. Being a larger community, we have two crew members on each truck clearing higher traffic roadways, eventually making their way to the smaller road ways. Once crew members have completed roadway clearing, they then begin on driveway snow removal.

With the warmer months quickly approaching, we would like to share with the public to be cautious when they are driving down gravel road ways. Gravel roadways becoming loosened and soft as the snow and ice is saturated into the gravel roadway and when it is hit with higher, faster traffic it creates a gap, which we know as a pot hole. The Public Works Department is reminding the public that Crosshill Road is still considered a construction zone. The posted speed limit on Crosshill Road remains at 20km/hr. please exercise caution while driving down Crosshill Road and follow speed limits put in place on roadways.

The Public Works Department looks forward to this next month and look forward to writing to you all again soon! We wish you all good health until next time!
