Aanii Lakeview School Families!
It is our pleasure to invite you to our annual Parent/Caregiver Meet and Greet Barbeque this Thursday. The Meet and Greet begins at 3:30 and ends at 5:30. The barbeque will consist of hamburgers, sausages, hotdogs, with potato and macaroni salad. All staff members will be in the gymnasium. Classroom tours will be available if you would like to see your child/ren’s learning environment.
M’Chigeeng First Nation has contracted Third Line Studio to complete a feasibility study regarding the potential to build a new school. Mike Ladyk from Third Line Studio will host a presentation at 4:30 in the gymnasium regarding the feasibility study. Parent/caregiver input is very important at this stage of the feasibility study; please take in the presentation and provide your input.
Lakeview School is very fortunate to have Aasgaabwitwindwaa Binoojiinhik Wiin ni Gshkiwewziwaat provide support services for our students (formerly referred to as School Health Support Services). We use ABWnG when referring to these services. ABWnG will have an information table set up at the Meet and Greet to display the types of services that they provide for students.
Lakeview School is re-establishing a Parent/Caregiver Advisory Group. There will be a sign-up sheet posted at the Meet and Greet. The Parent/Caregiver Advisory Group will meet monthly to provide suggestions for activities and learning opportunities. Please join this group and assist Lakeview staff in future planning! You can also email or telephone to sign up.
